The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating 14-year-old Ramona Shanti Armstrong, who was last seen early Saturday morning in northwest Bexar County.
Armstrong was reportedly picked up by an unknown male around 3:45 a.m. on March 29 in the 7600 block of Barhill Post Street. Her phone was later tracked and found abandoned, according to authorities.
Her father, Justin Armstrong, said she had told her grandmother she was going to the kitchen but instead left the house to meet a boy at Bridgewood Park. He believes she may have been abducted after being convinced to walk with the individual, who is suspected to be 24-year-old Nathaniel Gonzales, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Ramona is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a mole under her right eye and wears braces with teal bands. She was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt and white cream-colored pajama shorts.
Authorities have urged anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210) 335-6000 or via email at [email protected].
“If anybody sees her, recognizes her, let her know to come home if she’s out on her own; if she’s with somebody, notify police immediately,” Justin Armstrong said.
Harboring a runaway is a Class A misdemeanor in Texas, punishable by up to a year in jail and a $5,000 fine.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are actively pursuing leads to locate Armstrong.
