
Authorities are investigating the deaths of four family members, including a 2-year-old child, in what police are treating as a homicide in Perry, Georgia.
The Perry Police Department responded to a welfare check at approximately 6:45 p.m. Friday at a residence in the Timberline Mobile Home Park on Gaines Drive. Inside the home, officers discovered the bodies of three adults and one child. All four were pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from the department.
The victims, who were all related, were identified as Tuquondea Robinson, 37, Michelle Joiner, 51, Beaulah Robinson, 82, and the 2-year-old. Investigators believe the suspect knew the family. Officials emphasized that this appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has been called in to assist with evidence collection and scene processing. A person of interest is currently being interviewed by law enforcement, though no arrests have been announced.
“We are working diligently to determine exactly what happened,” said Captain Jason Jones of the Perry Police Department. “Our hearts go out to the family and everyone affected by this tragedy.”
