
A Cuban woman in America identified as Yannelis Casales was stabbed to death by her partner, Carlos Yordanis Aldana, authorities said.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called to an apartment complex in the 8000 block of Arlington Expressway around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday, March 31. Deputies found a man with stab wounds to his left hand and shin and a woman with multiple stab wounds in an apartment. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, and the man was transported to the hospital.
The JSO revealed Monday that the man, 38-year-old Carlos Aldana, was being charged with murder. Authorities described the murder as a domestic incident.
Social media records show Aldana was in a relationship with the deceased, Casales, 30. According to Univision, she had has been in the United States for three years. A video shared a few weeks ago shows an excited Yannelis welcoming Aldana to the States. “You are the dream I always pray for🙏🏻Welcome home” her caption on the video read.
Posts on Aldana’s own Facebook page indicate they have been dating for at least two years.
