Three women killed in a crash in Lake County, Florida, early Sunday recorded themselves drinking in their car prior to the deadly crash.
Tavia Pew, Kayy Lashay, and Kaneisha Lewis were named as the victims of a deadly one-vehicle crash on State Road 19 near St. Florian Lane around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Jeep Grand Cherokee the ladies were traveling in failed to negotiate a left-hand curve before striking a pole and overturning several times.
According to authorities, the driver and all three passengers were ejected from the SUV during the crash. No one was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver and one passenger were pronounced dead at the scene while two other passengers were transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. One passed away, and the other remains in critical condition.
Authorities are yet to formally identify the ladies but family and friends named them as Tavia Pew, Kayy Lashay, and Kaneisha Lewis. Instagram stories shared by Pew around the time of the crash show the ladies drinking in the car during their journey. The video has raised questions of a DUI, but authorities are yet to make a determination as the crash remains under investigation.
