
Three people were found shot dead inside a Scottsdale home on March 26, prompting a police investigation that suggests a possible murder-suicide. The incident occurred near Indian Bend Road and Vía De La Sendero. Officers responded around 3 p.m. to a welfare check initiated by a concerned coworker of one of the victims.
According to Scottsdale Police, the coworker reported the victim’s absence and inability to contact them, leading to the welfare check. Upon arrival, officers attempted to contact the occupants but were unsuccessful.
“A concerned coworker of one of the victims called Scottsdale Police to report their fellow employee’s absence and that they were unable to contact them,” Scottsdale Police said in a statement. “Responding officers attempted numerous ways to contact occupants of the residence but were unable to establish contact,”
Officers observed two deceased individuals through the home’s windows and found a third person dead in a separate room after entering the property.
Police have indicated that there is no ongoing threat to the community and are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner will provide the official cause of death for the victims, whose identities have not been released.
